deepC Store signs an agreement with AGR to design the appraisal well drilling and injectivity testing program for deepC Store and Azuli’s large- scale CO2 storage site in offshore Australia. AGR will also provide deepC Store with project management services for the appraisal well drilling and injectivity testing program.

Greenhouse Gas Assessment Permit (“GHG Acreages”) in the Bonaparte and Browse Basins have been awarded to deepC Store and Azuli International, who simultaneously entered into a Joint Study Agreement for a strategic partnership with J-POWER, cementing the likelihood that this will comprise a commercial-scale Australian sequestration opportunity for CO2 volumes from Japan and Australia as well as the surrounding region.

These licences are far reaching, high-quality opportunities, that can support material standalone CCS developments. We are pleased to be working with deepC Store on this offshore venture, which will provide a viable CO2 sequestration option for AsiaPac emissions for major industrial companies. Azuli and deepC Store are focused on achieving a commercially sustainable cost basis for industrial-scale CCS through strategic partnerships with our key supply chain partners PGS and others.”
AGIG and Azuli to work together to identify and develop CCS enabled solutions in Australia
Azuli International (Azuli) is pleased to announce it has signed an extension to their Memorandum of Understanding with Australian Gas Infrastructure Group (AGIG), dated 30th December 2022, under which the two companies will work together to identify, evaluate and progress carbon capture and storage (CCS) project opportunities in Australia. CCS is a core strand of the energy transition to Net Zero targets, with onshore pipelines being a key component of any project.
